1. Belt
The main component of a conveyor belt is the belt. Belts are categorized into lightweight and heavy-duty types. Lightweight belts are suitable for conveying small, lightweight items, while heavy-duty belts are suitable for conveying large, heavy items. Belts generally utilize a core-reinforced structure, which provides strong tensile strength and wear resistance.
2. Rollers
The roller is a crucial component of a conveyor belt, consisting of bearings, a housing, and spiral blades. Depending on its location and intended use, a conveyor belt can be equipped with drive rollers, support rollers, bending rollers, and slackening rollers.
3. Drive Unit
The drive unit is the power source that drives the conveyor belt. Common drive units include electric motors and speed reducers. The drive unit transmits power to the rollers through a transmission mechanism, driving the belt.
4. Support Structure
The support structure provides the structural support for the conveyor belt. It consists of a steel frame, support columns, and span beams, and is secured by being mounted on the ground or suspended in mid-air.
5. Tensioning Device
The tensioning device adjusts the tension of the conveyor belt to ensure proper belt operation. The tensioning device adopts different forms according to different conveyor belt types and usage, such as heavy hammer tensioning, spiral tensioning, airbag tensioning, etc.
