Conveyor belts are the primary components of belt conveyors, primarily used for large-scale, continuous transport in sectors such as coal, mining, metallurgy, chemicals, construction, and transportation. They transport materials in a variety of forms, including bulk, powder, paste, and piece goods. From a microscopic perspective, conveyor belts primarily consist of a skeleton, a cover layer, and a base layer. The cover layer is crucial for determining its performance and application. Depending on the material used in the cover layer, the conveyor belt industry can be divided into two categories: heavy-duty conveyor belts and light-duty conveyor belts. The former, primarily made of rubber (including natural and synthetic rubber), is also known as rubber conveyor belts and is primarily used in heavy industry and infrastructure construction. The latter, primarily made of polymer materials, is primarily used in light industries such as food and electronics.
